The BIGEARS repeater system operates two D-Star Repeaters. The repeaters operate on 144.980 (+2.5MHz) and 442.7875 (+5.0MHz) and have full backup with UPS and standby generator systems. They are located between Conway and Aynor with an antenna elevation of 600'. The UHF antenna favors the West and provides coverage from Whiteville, NC to Lake City, SC. The VHF repeater favors the East and provides coverage from Georgetown, SC to just South of Wilmington, NC.
