BIG EARS has joined with the MJARC (Malfunction Junction Amateur Radio Club) to enhance D-Star coverage in the North Eastern corner of South Carolina as well as South Eastern North Carolina.  The NE4SC D-Star repeater has been moved to Dillon and placed at 1,500'!!!  The repeater now has the call of KJ4MKV which belongs to the MJARC who already had a UHF D-Star repeater at the location.
This new location provides D-Star coverage all over the PD and Grand Strand region of South Carolina.  The NE4SC UHF D-Star repeater has been moved to a 550' tower located aprox. 4 miles inland from Myrtle Beach to provide enhanced hand held coverage in the North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, and Murrells Inlet areas.
